Narrly 🏄 - Narration Aligned

·2 mins

2026 -> Present

Narrly is audio alignment for video editors, built with my good friend Ross Martin. It takes one of the dullest jobs in an edit, matching a Master voiceover recording against the Guide track already sat on the timeline, and does it for you.

Editors normally do this by hand: scrub through the Master, find the take that matches the line on the timeline, drag it into place, then repeat for every line in the script. Narrly hands that back as a multi-track WAV you can drop straight into your session.

How it works for you #

  • Upload your Guide voiceover and your Master session recording. Audio or video, most common formats.
  • Align. Narrly works out which takes in the Master belong to which segments of your Guide.
  • Download a multi-track WAV with the Guide on the first channel and the takes stacked above it, each positioned at the right point on the timeline. There’s a single-track export too, if you’d rather just have the best takes.

Features #

  • No account, no sign-up, no email address required
  • Free while it’s in early access
  • Audio and video files accepted, with the audio pulled out of video for you
  • Multi-track and single-track exports, ready for Pro Tools, Logic, Reaper or anything else that reads a WAV
  • A results screen showing everything it found before you download, so nothing disappears without you knowing
  • Files processed on our own systems within the EU, never shared with third party AI platforms, and deleted when you close the tab

It’s a head start rather than a finished edit, so it’s worth checking the output before you rely on it for anything that matters.

For the background on why it exists, have a read of the blog post.
